Nintendo not going to launch a new model on the market this year Switch. The president of the company confirmed this at a briefing following the publication of the quarterly report. Shuntaro Furukawa.
“As for the Nintendo Switch, we consider it important to continue to educate users about the attractiveness of both versions of the systems and expand the existing base. Please also note that we have no plans to release a new Nintendo Switch model during 2023.”
Rumors of a new, more powerful version of the Nintendo Switch go online for a long time. Only in the last few weeks two messages appeared at once, one of which claimed that the new Switch with a magnesium alloy body and an improved processor would be launched in the middle of this year, and the other source just the other day toldthat a new chip will be installed in the improved Switch Nvidia on architecture Volta, and the console itself can only be released at the very end of the year.
Apparently, if Nintendo really has plans for the release of the so-called Pro version of Switch, then its release, if it takes place, is not until 2023. Total console sales, meanwhile, hit 52.48 million devices.
