Official: Warner Bros Interactive is not for sale

CEO yesterday WarnerMedia Jason Kilar launched a large-scale restructuring within the company, making unexpected changes in the department of directors. At the same time, Kilar expressed his desire to expand the gaming part of the business, noting “a strong interactive team of 2,000 developers capable of entering the global market.”

Fans of LEGO, Harry Potter, Batman, Mortal Kombat and other franchises owned by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, interpreted the CEO’s words as denying rumors about the sale of the company’s gaming division, and for good reason. Today the owner of Rocksteady, NetherRealm, TT Games and other studios has officially announced that Warner Bros Games is not for sale.

“Warner Bros Interactive will remain part of the studios and networks with our team of global brands and franchises, including DC led by Pam Lifford, and our Kids, Youth and Classic businesses led by Tom Asheim. All of them will focus on attracting fans to our brands and franchises through games and other interactive entertainment, ”reads a press release from the studio.

The news came shortly after the announcement of Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad game. Batman Arkham developer promises to fully present the project in the Suicide Squad universe on August 22 at DC Fandome.
