China was not included in the list of the first countries where the PS5 was sold in November last year, so local shops ordered consoles from other countries. Because of this, in some places, prices have jumped as much as four times.
Sony was certified to sell the console in China back in December – as did Microsoft for its Xbox Series. Probably, the Xbox Series will officially launch on sale not much later than the PS5. Sony is currently working on obtaining software approvals.
Ahmad adds that the online services of the local PS5 version will be sharpened under the regional “lock”.
At the same time, PS4 sales in the country started in March 2015.
