Portal IGN posted online an 11-minute video detailing the graphics comparison between the games in the original trilogy Mass effect and their improved versions from the collection Legendary Edition…
Simultaneously EA and studio BioWare shared a long list of new details on remastered versions of Mass Effect 1-3…
ME1:
- The accuracy of all types of weapons has been adjusted for more stable firing, and the aiming settings have been changed, as in the second and third parts;
- The balance of some skills has been changed. Immunity now grants a limited-time strong defense instead of a small but permanent boost;
- Shepard can now dash out of combat;
- Melee attacks are now triggered by pressing a button, rather than automatically when approaching an enemy;
- Headshot damage will affect all opponents;
- Weapons regenerate much faster, and ammo mods can be obtained throughout the game. Also improved inventory management;
- Changes have been made not only to the combat system, but also to encounters with enemies, the opponents themselves, the methods of entering the battle and the balance of battles. For example, the boss room on Noveria retains a familiar look but is more spacious;
- Squad members can now be controlled separately, similar to Mass Effect 2-3;
- Adjusted the balance of experience accrual to achieve greater consistency, in particular towards the end of the game
- Improved control and functionality of the M-35 Mako all-terrain vehicle. Shield recovery has been speeded up and new boosters have been added.
ME2:
- Increased the rate of obtaining ammunition, especially when using a sniper rifle;
- Improved Paragon / Renegade system.
ME3:
- The balance of the Galaxy at War system has been changed. The ending from Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut is now the game’s default ending.
General changes:
- Improved the use of cover. Entering and exiting them has become more reliable, and in some battles additional places have appeared where you can hide from enemy fire;
- Unified Shepard’s personalization options and expanded customization options, including skin tones and hairstyles. The created character appearance can be transferred from one game to another using a system of codes;
- The original female version of Shepard is still selectable, but the design from Mass Effect 3 is now the default appearance for all three games;
- Added a Mass Effect: Genesis comic by Dark Horse, which will help Mass Effect 2-3 players make a choice from previous games before starting a playthrough if they have not played them;
- All three games are launched from a common launcher, but the saves remain separate for each part and can be controlled independently of each other;
- New achievements have been added, and some repeatable ones have been merged; DLC weapons and armor are integrated into games;
- Throughout the trilogy, sound has been re-processed and improved, several hundred bugs have been fixed, and the PC has native support for gamepads and 21: 9 screens, as well as DirectX 11 compatibility.
