No Time for a Titan: Overwatch Creator Leaves Blizzard

Leadership staff Blizzard will weaken soon. After almost 20 years of work, the game director of the series will leave the studio Overwatch Jeff Kaplan

Kaplan has been with Blizzard since 2002, having worked on Warcraft iii and World of warcraft… However, the main brainchild of a game designer was the project Titanwhich was closed back in 2013.

However, on the ruins of an ambitious MMO, a new project was formed – a competitive shooter Overwatch… Thanks to its success, the project has become one of the pillars on which modern Blizzard is based.

Jeff Kaplan will be replaced by another studio veteran – Aaron Keller… At the same time, Blizzard emphasizes that the development Overwatch 2 progressing according to plan.

“Jeff was a great leader, mentor and friend, he knows how we will miss him,” said Keller.

“I want to express my deep gratitude to everyone at Blizzard who has supported our games, our game teams and players. But I want to express special thanks to those great developers with whom I moved along the creative path,” said Keplan.

What the game designer intends to do in the future has not yet been reported.
