No console versions: World of Warcraft leader commented on leaks and talked a bit about Shadowlands

Development manager World of warcraft Ion Hazzikostas revealed the details of the next additions to the game – Shadowlands. Last month, dataminers found a mention of consoles and a gamepad layout in the alpha version files of the extension. And here the game designer disappointed the console audience – World of Warcraft is exclusive PC.

Hazzikostas said in an interview that Blizzard doesn’t plan to port Wow on the console. Nevertheless, the PC version of the game does support gamepads. This was done for the convenience of gamers who use third-party programs for compatibility of controllers with the project.

AT World of Warcraft: Shadowlandsperhaps some locations of Azeroth will be changed. However, Orgrimmar and Stormwind will remain the same. In addition, players will meet Kel’tas, because the action of Shadowlands takes place in the Dark Lands, where the souls of the dead fall. The expansion will be released before the end of 2023.
