Nintendo will open a gallery to showcase the company’s historical products and various exhibits. Nintendo notes that the gallery will be a way to share the company’s history and philosophy of product development with the public.
The gallery was tentatively named Nintendo Gallery and will be housed at the Uji Ogura Plant in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. The factory was built back in 1969 and was used for the production of playing cards, as well as a customer service center for product repairs.
Uji Ogura Plant was closed in 2016, and now the building will be renovated to accommodate the gallery. The work is expected to be completed during fiscal 2023, which ends in March 2024.
