Nintendo to open a museum in Japan on the site of its old factory

Company Nintendo announced plans to open a museum on the site of its old factory Nintendo uji ogura, which was built in 1969 in the southern suburbs of Kyoto. The relevant information appeared on the official website of the platform holder.

The working name of the museum is “Gallery Nintendo”… It is scheduled to be completed by the end of fiscal 2023 (by the end of March 2024).

“Nintendo is pleased to announce that its Nintendo Uji Ogura plant and the surrounding area will be converted into a gallery to showcase many of the products that Nintendo has launched throughout its history,” it said.

The factory was originally used for the production of Hanafuda playing cards, and in recent years has functioned as a customer service center. In 2016, Nintendo opened a new cartridge and other manufacturing plant in Uji, Japan.

“Visitors to the museum will be able to familiarize themselves with the history and philosophy of Nintendo’s product development,” the company said.

Nintendo opened its first amusement park earlier this year Super nintendo world on the basis of the entertainment area Universal studios in Osaka.
