However, Schreyer warned fans of premature hopes, saying the company’s plans could change dramatically due to a pandemic.

Bloomberg also says it does not expect Sony to reveal all the details of the next-generation console during its first presentation. However, this event may initiate the flow of information about the PlayStation 5, which will be available in the coming weeks and months.
VentureBeat, in turn, encourages fans not to rely on the announcement of the price and release date of the console. Instead, Sony is going to focus on games. In the future, the company is going to share the details of projects of the next and current generations, for example, on State of Play, which, according to Grabb, is scheduled for August.
“It seems that Sony has taken into account the negative reaction that Microsoft encountered during the first presentation of the gameplay on the Inside Xbox. Fans of the Xbox Series X were unhappy with the almost complete lack of gameplay during the broadcast, so Sony wants to show PS5 games that run on real hardware, ”the journalist writes in an article on VentureBeat.
