In 2017 Double fine productions released a remaster of the cult biker quest from Lucasart and Tim Shafer Full throttle, however, this turned out to be not enough for some fans, and then the leaders of the British animation studio Red knuckles Rick Thiele and Mario Ucci decided to use the latest technology to create an unofficial trailer, to show in it his vision of a classic adventure game of the 90s as if it were created in our time.
The resulting video takes as a basis frames from the intro to the original project, but at the same time completely gets rid of sprite graphics in favor of more detailed and realistic visual effects. From the old Full Throttle there was only music and voice acting of the main character.
The developers admitted that the most difficult thing for them in developing this project was finding the right balance between the style of the original game and the semi-realistic look that they wanted to show in the remake, and so as not to lose the spirit of the character familiar to many.
Original Full throttle released in 1995. Our review of the remaster can be found here.
