Studio manager IO Interactive Hakan Abrak commented in an interview with Danish journalists on the issue of working on new game adaptation of the adventures of agent 007 James Bond…
Abrak noted that he could not go into details on the game itself, since it is at a very early stage of production, but clarified a few points.
Specifically, the developer has confirmed that the 007 version by IO Interactive will be completely original – the studio plans to create a new and unique image for Bond – Daniel Craig’s face we will definitely not see… The same applies to history – completely new adventures await players.
Despite the fact that the studio has just started working with the famous license (which is difficult to obtain – copyright holders in recent years have become extremely selective and for a long time did not want to contact game developers again), it already has plans the most ambitious. According to Abrak, his company plans to create in the future “the whole universe of adventures of agent 007“. In an interview, he mentioned the word”trilogy“.
To implement all the plans, IO Interactive is going to significantly expand its staff, or more precisely, the studio wants to increase the number of active employees from 200 to 400 people and open another office in Sweden. To begin with, he will have to help the main one with the creation of the first Bond game.
Abrak stressed that the opportunity to work on the James Bond universe for his studio is of great importance – the developers are aimed at producing the highest quality projects.
Now Project 007 (project codename) doesn’t even have an estimated release date. The game is created for both consoles and PC…
