Update 1.1.2 will offer a new free mode “River raids (it is designed for multiple playthroughs, and players will have to go on raids to the far, unexplored corners of England, full of new opportunities).

The mode includes:

  • High stakes raids: Raids do not affect the main progress and alliances made in England, take place on unique maps and bring special rewards. The rules are slightly different from the conditions of regular raids: a defeated squad may be temporarily unavailable if the fallen soldiers are not revived during the battle.
  • Jomsvikings squad: Your very own Jomsvik Assistant leads hired Jomsviks into battle – created by other players on the network.
  • New Drakkar: A separate fully customizable Drakkar is available in this mode. Its hold can be increased so you can take more loot with you.

In Season 1, the Jomsvikings Hall can be upgraded by 3 levels. The higher the level, the more powerful warriors you can hire. A system of ranks has been introduced for jomsvikings: the higher the rank, the more tenacious the fighter.

After completing the first storyline in England (in Grentebridgeshire or Ledechestershire), building barracks and hiring a Yomsviking assistant, the protagonist will meet the character Wagn and his team of Jomsviks. It is the meeting with Vagn that will open access to the mode “River raids”… There are 3 new maps available in the mode on the coasts of England, on each of which there are many objects to attack and get valuable loot.

In addition, the update will bring the following features and rewards to the game:

  • the armor of St. George and a two-handed sword;
  • 3 new abilities that can be obtained in monasteries;
  • 2 new buildings in the settlement;
  • a new set of personalization items for the hero and the drakkar.

A complete list of all changes can be seen on the official game page

Ostar Season 2 kicks off in March 2023. The first update of the season will bring a holiday to the settlement, a new combat mode, new gear and decorative items. Details about the first add-on to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla “Wrath of the Druids”, which will be released in the spring of 2023, will be announced later.
