English retail leader last week FIFA 20which bypassed Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The weekly drop in sales of the football simulator was 7%, and the exclusive Nintendo Switch – 32%.
At the same time, sales of all other games of the top ten increased: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (+ 36%), Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (+ 98%), Grand theft auto v (+ 52%). The only novelty of the week was Snowrunner, which debuted on the 12th line.
Despite the absence of major releases and quarantines due to the coronavirus pandemic, sales of games in the English retail sector grew by 16% to 234 thousand copies. Weekly sales growth for Xbox One games was 23%, for PS4 – 19%, and for Nintendo Switch – 9%.
