Netflix’s Thrilling Comedy-Drama: Teenage Bounty Hunters Review

Despite numerous failures and scandals, it was in the comedy genre Netflix was able to achieve the greatest success. New project from Kathleen Jordan, better known as a screenwriter for a female-oriented dramedy “American princess”, Manages to scoop up the current agenda, add a little satire and not the worst detective there.

Series Teenage bounty hunters, passing with us under the name “Young bounty hunters” or “Young bounty hunters”, Talks about the everyday life of two sisters from a wealthy family who study at a prestigious Christian academy and try to be model teenage girls. But one day Blair and Sterling Wesley scratch their father’s car and are now forced to save money for repairs, moonlighting as assistants to a black bounty hunter – catching criminals who have escaped from bail. And if the first episodes concentrate on unexpected affairs and the search for lawbreakers, then the heroines desperately dive into the hole of their own complexes and problems. And then the scriptwriters turn to their fullest, offering viewers comical situations, evil satire, awkward moments and unexpected plot twists.

Of course, the Netflix platform would not be itself without the SJW agenda, but here it is done with an anti-propaganda bias, strange for the company. For example, one of the black characters explains to a white liberal heroine that not all blacks want to demolish monuments to the Confederates and, in general, racism is precisely an attempt to build the world according to their narrow ideas.

At another moment in history, an LGBT character goes to betrayal for the sake of money and position in society. And speculation about the insidious Trump and white patriarchy looks like a ridiculous attempt to justify their helplessness. The authors from series to series perfectly demonstrate the hypocrisy of modern society. Mockery of the stereotypes of modern American society can be seen here in every episode: be it the leader of a Christian community that leads a promiscuous sex life, sad Satanists who collect money for the homeless, or even a stereotypical good guy singing monstrous serenades to a guitar at the teacher’s memorial evening at school, no one cared. Sometimes sisters, when making important decisions, switch to telepathic communication, which makes the action even more comical absurdity.

26-year-old Maddie Phillips and twenty-five Angelica Bette Fellini do great with the images of teenage sisters, wildly replaying in the frame, trying to portray two stereotyped American teenagers. Looks perfect with them Kadim Hardisonplaying the role of a not-so-lucky bounty hunter. As a result, a wonderful chemistry is formed that can keep you at the screen until the bright end of the season. Of course, some episodes lose pace or the action drags on, but for the bright ending and caustic satire of Teenage Bounty Hunters, you can forgive a lot, if not all.
