Now the studio is looking for a scriptwriter, but the director has already been selected: Rob Lettermanbest known for Detective Pikachu, Gulliver’s Journey and Monsters vs. Aliens. The novelty is planned to be filmed as a hybrid – live filming will be combined with computer graphics.
Netflix itself describes the upcoming picture as “a grand adventure about space pirates” – apparently, they take exactly Beyond Good & Evil 2, not the very first part.
The release date has not yet been announced.
