Netflix will begin to close inactive user accounts – review

Guide Netflix made a new change to the service policy – now inactive user accounts will be disabled.

This will be done if the account owner has not looked at anything from the catalog for more than a year. Netflix also turned to users who have not included their profiles for more than two years to try to find out their status.

If confirmation does not appear, the user will be automatically disconnected. According to service representatives, there are very few such accounts, they represent only 0.5% of the total base – about 200 thousand subscribers.

After disconnection, account information will be stored for another 10 months.
