Starz did not renew the series, which lasted three seasons, leaving the story without an ending. However, Gaiman assured fans that the “American Gods” were “not dead.” The writer is grateful to the channel, but the firm that produced the series itself intends to complete the plot.
At the moment, the authors are thinking about in what format and on what site it can be born. Previously, it was assumed that we are talking about either a mini-season or a TV movie.
It is possible that a sequel may appear on Amazon Prime, where the series was shown outside the US, or on Netflix, with which Gaiman is working on “Sandman”…
