Nearly a third of Death Stranding sales in the first weeks in Japan were digital – review

Weekly famitsuusually publishes retail sales figures for games in Japan, but the magazine in its latest issue shared digital sales figures from October 29 to November 24. The biggest releases are Pokemon sword & shield and Death stranding.

In less than three weeks in japanese Playstation store almost 110 thousand copies of the new project of Hideo Kojima were sold, which is 32% of the total circulation in the Land of the Rising Sun over the same period – 345 thousand.

Pokemon sword & shield came out a little later, on November 15, but in less than two weeks almost 630 thousand copies of the new ones were sold “Pokemon”, which is 26.5% of the total circulation for the same period – 2,377 million.

Closing the top five Luigi’s Mansion 3 (72.6 thousand copies of 331.5 thousand), Persona 5 royal (60.5 thousand copies out of 292.7 thousand) and Romancing Saga 3, which was sold only in digital form (53.3 thousand copies on Switch and 43.8 thousand on PS4).
