In an interview with Kotaku, the head of the Xbox Phil Spencer commented among other things Halo: Infinite… The shooter was supposed to be a big starter title Xbox Series X / S, but after negative feedback on the debut gameplay, 343 Industries decided to postpone the project until 2023.
In a conversation with Kotaku, Spencer said that he played Halo: Infinite a week ago, but so far he has no news on when exactly the shooter will be released.…
Next, the Xbox boss was asked if Microsoft would then consider releasing the Halo: Infinite campaign separately from multiplayer, if one of them is completed earlier. He did not rule out such a possibility, but noted that the decision remains with the head of 343i Bonnie Ross and her team.… In all such decisions, Spencer noted, developers must consider the structure of the game and the story it tells.
“I think we can consider that option, but it’s important for us to make sure we get it right.”
At the same time, earlier Microsoft officially confirmed that online part of Halo: Infinite will be distributed on a shareware model – anyone can plunge into online battles without buying the main game. On Xbox Series X / S, the shooter’s multiplayer will run at 120fps.
