The premiere of the new “Mortal Kombat” in theaters was to take place 15th January 2023However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the production team was unable to complete the dossiers some scenes. The producer of the picture announced this in a correspondence with a Twitter user. Todd Garner, according to which, the new release date will become known only after the opening of cinemas.
The transfer of the film also influenced the release of the debut trailer – it should not be expected in the near future…
Well, I thought by the casts ’social media you would’ve figured out we’re shooting a few more days. We’d always planned for it & thought we’d do it in March. The pandemic had other plans. We won’t have a release date for the movie until theaters re-open. Same for trailer.
