Modern Warfare 2 in Russia cut out “Not a word in Russian” – review

Though remaster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 released around the world a month ago, he reached Russia only today thanks to the release on Xbox One and PC.

The first players report that the scandalous mission “Not a word in Russian” was again removed from the updated domestic version of the shooter, because of which a big scandal erupted in the country at one time.

Representatives Activision confirmed information to the portal Dtf, and the reason was called compliance with the original release of 2009 in Russia, where the task was also removed.

“Not a word in Russian” has become a subject of discussion because of its provocativeness: in it, a CIA agent, in an attempt to infiltrate a terrorist group, takes part in a terrorist attack by shooting visitors to a Moscow airport. Players could not shoot.

Of the few regions, the mission was completely removed, while in the rest they made it optional. The same thing happened to the remaster: the Ukrainian version, for example, also did without a task, but there the novelty at least came out on the PS4.
