Authoritative insider and journalist Brad SamsSpecializing in leaks about corporate products and plans Microsoft, in a new post, hinted at the upcoming high-profile acquisitions of game studios.
Last November Microsoft announced the acquisition of Zenimax and its subsidiary Bethesda, but it looks like the tech giant isn’t going to stop there.
“Right now, a lot of money is spinning around gaming companies, and for some of them there are already a number of proposals – I’m not sure if any of these deals will close, but the value of gaming IP is growing rapidly,” – said Sams in Twitter…
Many have already begun to speculate about which studios might soon be acquired by Microsoft. Most often, a French company pops up in discussions Asobo (developers of Flight Simulator 2023 and A Plague Tale: Innocence) and Polish Techland (Dying Light franchise).
Last May, a Techland spokesman stated that the Polish team remains independent and is not negotiating with anyone about a possible acquisition.
It is also worth noting that not only Microsoft is interested in purchases of gaming companies. A variety of manufacturers are now considering new mergers and acquisitions.
