Microsoft showed players new gameplay footage of the game Microsoft Flight Simulator with photorealistic graphics of the next generation, which showed dozens of the most iconic and famous airports in the world.
The developers of Microsoft Flight Simulator in a new video talked about airports, reports Gamebomb.ru. They admitted that they took the base from the previous 2006 Microsoft Flight Simulator X game, but significantly expanded it. Each air harbor was transferred to the virtual world of the simulator from satellite images, which allowed us to achieve a photorealistic level of graphics. After that, they were edited using a tool specially created for this.
Manual editing of each airport in Microsoft Flight Simulator is a time-consuming process, so the developers have limited their base to 37 thousand air harbors, Gamebomb.ru reports. At the same time, they identified 80 of the most visited and iconic airports. They were created not by editing ready-made satellite images, but completely manually. This allowed developers to achieve a new level of realism and detail. A specific list of airports has not yet been announced.
Developers identified the territory of airports, prescribed runways, ground routes and parking spaces, focusing on real data. The simulator also distinguishes between different types of surfaces, so landing on grass, asphalt and soil will be different. All aircraft and other temporary objects from satellite imagery have been removed.
Every harbor in Microsoft Flight Simulator will be alive. Airport employees move around the territory and go about their business. Transport with luggage drives up to the aircraft and a landing sleeve joins. The player can carry out aircraft maintenance in a special menu. At the same time, he will see how a car with fuel or other technical vehicles will approach. The options for loading luggage and passengers, serving transport, the forms of employees differ depending on the country, the size of the airport and other factors. In addition, airports have realistically recreated air traffic. Players will see the takeoffs and landings of other aircraft, adjusted for which he will control his aircraft.
Microsoft Flight Simulator will be released on the Xbox One and PC. Release date is still unknown. Access to the game has already received some users of the program Insider from Microsoft.
