Microsoft released a document that revealed the cause of possible problems with installing Windows 10 updates. Reportedly, the culprit may be the Fast Startup function.
This system is designed to accelerate the launch of the OS, while it is turned on in most cases. However, because of this, the computer does not turn off completely, which makes installation impossible. In this case, in the event of a reboot, no failures are noted.
According to the company, a complete shutdown is performed if only the user reboots the PC or turns it off through the Start. Otherwise this does not happen.
Microsoft is going to fix this problem in a future version of Windows, but does not name the exact dates.
