Microsoft Edge is testing a new way to go back and forth on web pages

Test version Microsoft edge based on Chromium, it acquired support for two new hotkeys – to go back and forth through the website. Now, using the Backspace button, you can return to the previous page, and Shift + Backspace allows you to proceed to the next. These buttons only work on the currently active tab.

To enable it, go to the list of flags, activate the “Assigns the Backspace key to go back a page” function and restart the browser. After that, the function will work. The function is currently available only in Edge Canary, but in the future it is expected to appear in the release version of the browser, although it is not yet known exactly when.

In addition, Microsoft and Google continue to expand the ecosystem of progressive web applications (PWA), which are specially converted websites. They load instantly even with poor call quality.

Among the latest updates, we note the Microsoft PWABuilder tool, which allows you to do this. Google has a similar solution. This will, as expected, improve the performance of web applications on Android devices and more.
