Metal Gear Solid fans have long been calling Konami release a remake Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, however, all we’ve got so far are some beautiful scenes from the MGS3 adaptation for Pachinko’s slot machines.

Amid the lack of any news about the return of the series, fans decided to try to revive Metal Gear Solid 3 on their own. Reddit contributor under the nickname BeesWX told that together with his friend he is now working on a mod for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, in which the locations from the third part will be recreated, but with a higher level of detail

The modification is at a very early stage at the moment, so don’t expect to see it finished anytime soon.… Now the authors are working on levels from Virtuous Missionusing the map editor FoxKit… Obviously, it won’t be possible to remake the entire game in this way due to lack of resources and time, but it will be interesting to see how far this idea progresses. Once the authors have enough content, they can release a teaser.
