Apparently a virtual reality helmet from Apple will not be completely autonomous. The Information reports that the device will rely on a smartphone for computing. The AR headset will need to be connected wirelessly to the iPhone, as Apple Watch owners do, to unleash its true potential.
It can be assumed that this will require a separate application, which Apple will release with the release.
The iPhone, iPad or Mac will handle most of the computing, as the chip inside the wearable device will not be as powerful and will not receive AI and machine learning support. It will be manufactured using a 5-nanometer process technology, which, according to the source, will be greatly outdated by the time the AR headset goes on sale.
Apple is expected to launch a headset no earlier than 2023, targeting developers and content creators and priced at around $ 3,000.
