Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, the review of Capcom’s cross-over shotgun

Ultron and Sigma to the conquest of the universes
We start right away with narrative premises framing the story of the title. Ultron and Sigma are two historic antagonists coming from the Marvel and Megaman universe respectively, who have decided to join forces to subjugate the entire world. The duo holds two of the six Infinity Stones: these are powerful stones that allow you to control six different aspects of reality. Through them, antagonists merge into one being, Ultron Sigma, and unite their background universes, bringing Marvel and Capcom characters to meet.
The task of heroes is to stop Ultron Sigma before it can release a dangerous virus that can put any form of life under its control. The plot develops through the many movies in the story mode, and we must admit that they were amazed at us: although this is certainly not a story that will remain imprinted for its originality or the quality of narrative intrigue, developers are really involved in character characterization, succeeding in making better interactions between two worlds so far apart.
In the story we will see Ryu teach Hulk how to control his rage, Rocket Raccoon ask for weapons on loan to Dante, Iron Man and Frank West fighting side by side, and so on. Considering that the cast counts thirty characters, it was not easy to give the right space to each of them, but the developers succeeded in involving everyone in the story without forgetting anyone.

As far as the graphics sector is concerned, the game runs at 1080p and runs at 60 fps stable without any problems. Graphic style abandons that cartoonesco seen in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, in favor of a more realistic one.
This change may not be appreciated by the fans of the series, accustomed to a completely different look for their favorite characters. What we can reassure you is that there have been many steps forward in the design of wrestlers compared to what has been seen in recent trials, thanks to a patch already available at day-one that will correct some of the defects noted by fans in the past.

A breath of fresh air
As we said, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite breaks some tradition in the series, and not just in terms of graphic style. Another important change is the move from 3 vs 3 to 2 vs 2 fight. This choice is due to the will of developers to make the game less chaotic and more accessible to casual shooters, without sacrificing the depth of gameplay. In our view, the goal has been centered in full, but the choice may be indigestible to some of the series’s historical fans.
