Analytics “M.Video-Eldorado»Notes the increased demand for gaming laptops and accessories in the Russian market. Over the past year, the segment has grown by 27% or 250 thousand units compared to the first half of 2023. In monetary terms, sales increased by 55% and amounted to 25 billion rubles.
The leading domestic electronics retailer attributes this to the growing popularity of home entertainment and the stable situation in the laptop market as a whole.
“Interest in gaming monitors has increased by 30% in kind, in peripherals (mice, keyboards, headsets) – by 15%, computer chairs have added 75% (100,000 units sold). The demand for gaming devices drives the general more domestic lifestyle of Russians, ”writes M.Video-Eldorado in its report.
Every fifth laptop bought in Russia is a gaming laptop. The most popular among the residents of the country were Asus, Lenovo, Acer, HP and MSI. In the Russian market in the first half of 2023, about 1.4 million laptops were sold for more than 80 billion rubles.
