Japanese publishing house Konami announced a strategic partnership with a Polish studio Bloober teamknown for creating projects such as The medium, Observer and Layers of Fear… The parties plan to jointly develop and release high-quality games based on new and popular IPs, “harmoniously complementing each other.”
The head of the Bloober Team Petr Babieno noted that today has become “historic” for his studio.
“This is the culmination of our many years of work. We have become an equal partner for one of the leading players in the market,” reads the announcement press release.
The agreement with Konami does not mean that the studio will only work for this company. The Bloober Team can develop their own games in parallel and team up with other publishers.
Konami did not disclose the first joint project with the authors of The Medium, but made it clear that it plans to work with various third-party studios.… At the same time, she is also going to produce some of the games entirely by her own internal forces.
There has long been a theory on the web that the Bloober Team is creating a restart of Silent Hill for Konami.…
