COMPLETE SET AND APPEARANCE
The device comes in a dark gray cardboard box made in the Logitech corporate design, with a color image of the gadget inside, as well as a description of the main specifications on the back of the package. Inside the box you will find the wireless headphones themselves; detachable microphone that connects via a 3.5 mm jack and is made in the color G733; LIGHTSPEED wireless receiver for connecting to PC and PlayStation 4 via USB Type-A; USB Type-C charging cable with USB Type-A adapter; thank you booklet; instructions for removing the battery for safe recycling and an operating manual in 29 languages, including Russian.
The weight of the headset itself is 0.278 kg, the microphone is another 9 g. The G733 is presented in four colors: black, white, blue and lilac. A white sample of the device fell into our hands for testing. The frame is made of durable matte white plastic with the addition of glossy plastic inserts around the bowls.
On the sides are Logitech logos with a mirrored silver texture. The upper part of the headband has a large slot in the middle, and under it is a soft fabric headband that can be adjusted in two positions, which fits perfectly thanks to the stretching material.
The ear cushions are made of soft foam, upholstered in a gray ventilated fabric that sits pleasantly on the ears and does not press on. Even after several hours spent in them, my ears did not get tired or sweaty. Inside, under the ear cushions, there are 40 mm PRO-G speakers with a frequency range from 20 to 20,000 Hz and an impedance of 39 ohms.
On the front of the bowls, in the glossy plastic area, there are RGB stripes. In addition, on the left earphone in the same glossy part there is a 3.5 mm jack for connecting a microphone, a USB Type-C connector for charging, a power button, a volume wheel, and a button for activating and deactivating the microphone. There are no connectors or buttons on the right earpiece.
The flexible, detachable microphone connects to the left ear cup via the 3.5mm jack in one light, effortless motion. The microphone bends in all 4 directions by about 45 degrees. This device uses a 6 mm unidirectional microphone with a frequency range of 100 – 10,000 Hz.
CONNECTION AND SOFT
To connect this device, simply insert the LIGHTSPEED receiver into the USB-A port of your computer or PS4, and the system will instantly install the drivers (or, in the case of the PS4, detect the device) and you can use it without additional software. It is worth noting that we tried to connect the receiver to the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and if the headset did not pair with the first, then in the case of the Switch, the sound immediately played in the headphones and they can be used with this console in stationary mode.
As with all modern devices from Logitech, you can download the official Logitech G HUB app to customize the G733. When you start the application, you will immediately see an image of the headphones if they are connected to the PC. Under them, you will immediately notice the percentage of their charge. If you connect the charging to the headphones, then there will also be information that they are charging.
When you click on the headphone image, you will be immediately taken to the “Headphones” section, where there are two tabs – “Acoustics” and “Surround Sound”. In the first, you can adjust not only the volume of the headphones and microphone, but also use the equalizer to fine-tune various frequencies or use ready-made profiles. In the Surround Sound tab, you can activate DTS Headphone: X 2.0 surround sound technology and set up virtual 7.1-channel sound.
For a surround sound source, you are offered to choose three sound modes: entertainment, games and sports. For stereo sound, you can turn on the DTS Super Stereo option and select three sound modes: Front, Wide and Normal.
In the “Microphone” section, you can set the input signal level, as well as activate the Blue Voice technology, which is responsible for processing sound using a microphone and filters the voice at the time of recording in real time. With this function, you can adjust the sound of the user’s voice and reduce the ambient noise. Moreover, the developers allow using both preset settings and various adjustable filters.
The section “Assignments” is devoted to changing the functionality of the buttons. However, in the case of the G733, only one button is available for setting, which is responsible for turning the microphone on and off.
The last section is responsible for setting up Lightsync lighting. Here you can change the colors and lighting effects on the front of the bowls. Moreover, the backlight is divided into a lower and an upper zone, and each can be adjusted separately. For example, make the upper zone pulsate with different colors, and turn off the lower one, well, or turn on a constant glow with one color or gradient.
SOUND AND AUTONOMY
The wireless connection of this headset, according to Logitech, can work within a radius of up to 20 meters. It is likely that this is possible in a field or hangar, but in an apartment building or office, it is more difficult to verify the statement, since there are many emitters of various signals around.
Let’s just say that through a reinforced concrete wall at a distance of 5-6 meters, the quality of communication began to decline and crackles began to appear. In the room, the signal quality remained good and there were no extraneous sounds both when connected to a PC, and on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
In games, this model has good panning. We tested the headset on hits like Gears 5 (PC), Forza Horizon 4 (PC), Resident Evil 3 (PS4), and Ghost of Tsushima (PS4). The sounds were correctly positioned according to the positioning of their sources in the three-dimensional space of virtual worlds. Also worthy of praise is the virtual surround sound system, which has added more depth to the immersion when playing Gears 5 on PC.
As for listening to music on a PC, there were no complaints about this headset. Lows, mids and highs sound great without any distortion. But the volume seems to be sufficient, but if we talk about your subjective opinion, the sound level is a little lacking. I would like it louder.
The autonomy of this headset turned out to be good. With daily use for about 5-6 hours a day, the charge is enough for 3-5 days, depending on your love for different kinds of rainbow movements backlights.

Logitech G733 is an expensive and high-quality headset for its segment, which is perfect both for immersion in the game worlds and for evening get-togethers on PS4. The headset is made of high-quality materials, it is convenient to hold fairly long gaming sessions in it, and the sound quality is very pleasant. What else do you need for a little gamer happiness?
