Event dedicated Xbox series x, is getting closer, and more and more news about the console and upcoming games for it appears on the network. Program director Jason Ronald confirmed that the data transfer rate of the official external memory card for the new console will be the same as the speed of its custom SSD-drive – 2.4 GB / s for raw data and 4.8 GB / s for compressed data.
Licensed memory cards will be manufactured by Seagate. The volume will be 1 TB.
The manufacturer has already opened the official website of the product, where he called it “lightning fast and super powerful.”

“One of the main ideas is that developers don’t have to worry about console performance,” says Ronald.
Also Ronald mentioned that Microsoft will not force developers to use compression to reduce the size of games.
“This is not really a requirement for product certification, but we work closely with all the best developers around the world. We understand how they create their games. They see all the options available to them and choose the solution that meets the expectations of the players.”
New presentation Xbox series x will take place already July 23, and the console release should take place by end of 2023…
