August 1 Microsoft rebranded Xbox Game Pass, as a result of which the subscription service changed its logo, hiding the word “Xbox“To the”X“.
Many people thought that the service was renamed Game Pass, however, as it turned out later, this is not the case. Microsoft has said it has not removed the word Xbox from its subscription platform name despite the change in the service logo.
“The Xbox team recently unveiled a redesigned Xbox Game Pass logo. Although the logo has been updated, the name of the service remains the same – Xbox Game Pass, ”a company spokesman said.
Microsoft Gaming Official Twitter tried to jokingly explain logo change:
“More compact”
“Eight letters in two words = 4 and 4 – that’s all”
“Less ink for logo printing”
“Less price for a tattoo”
“Takes up less space in the video, opening up more space for gameplay.”
Netizens noticed yesterday that Microsoft changed the name of Xbox Live, renaming it “Xbox Online Service” in its user agreement.
