Allegedly, the development of lenses and related electronics is carried out at the factory Chengdu foxconn in the southwestern part of China, where the iPad is also manufactured.
In May, the company transferred the project to the EVT stage, which implies the creation of thousands of such lenses. Thus, we are talking about preparing for mass production. However, it will only be launched in a year or two, which is consistent with early leaks, according to which products are ready to be expected in 2023-23.
It is noted that the lenses for AR glasses should be slightly larger than conventional ones. However, their production is associated with a number of problems due to fragility and complexity. But it seems that the company was able to solve these problems, at least in part.
