Blizzard plans to conduct closed alpha testing of future major additions World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. This is not news, but the news is that it can happen very soon, maybe even next week.
The proximity of the start of testing is indicated by data obtained by datamining enthusiasts. After the company switched to remote work, the application Battle.net changed in such a way that it supports Shadowlands encrypted builds.
Since yesterday, researchers found that the beta of World of Warcraft is no longer supported in the Battle.net client. Shadowlands resources are now used for installation. In addition, the alpha version is now marked as “internal”, available only to Blizzard employees.
After all the changes made, Blizzard can now at any time give selected players access to the alpha version of the add-on. So the first closed testing may well start at least next week – we are waiting for the news.
