Kratos plays with muscles: Sony employee shows a realistic muscle simulation of the hero of God of War

Art Director of the last part God of war for PlayStation 4 Rough Grassetti showed on Twitter a realistic simulation of Kratos muscles.

During breathing, the character’s press is reduced as in real life.

The same applies to all other main muscles of the body: during bending and turning the arms, biceps and triceps change in volume, and do not remain in the same state.

When lifting the shoulders, the pectoral muscles also go up a little.

Trapezoidal behave in a similar way, expanding and contracting as wide as possible when pulling the blades to the sides.

The authors succeeded in achieving such realism by introducing into the engine a setup that calculates the difference between the initial position and the current one, adjusting the shape of the muscles based on the position of the bones to which they are attached.

God of War was released in 2018 only on the PlayStation 4. Read our review here..
