The newly-minted team will initially consist of a relatively small number of specialists (80-85 people) and will focus on creating projects for the next generation of gaming systems.
Career Drew McCoy started back in the company Infinity wardlater he moved to Respawn entertainmentwhere he served as one of the senior producers of the series Titanfall and coordinated the development of dynamic shooters until the release of the royal battle Apex legends.
In turn John shearing dedicated 20 years of his life to multiplayer shooters. It was he who was responsible for the network code, the system of servers and related services of games such as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Titanfall and Apex legends.
Now, the former colleagues decided to join forces and organize their own team, within which they will be able to further develop professionally and continue to delight fans with new bright developments.
“We have been playing games for many years, and during this period we have learned a lot. Including how to manage and how to launch the fruits of our work on sale. It is time to shake the world of AAA projects a little.
We are opening a new studio, because we plan to create games in a very special way. We need time to think through every aspect of future developments well, taking into account the opinion of the whole team. We plan to create a company that will last for decades, and for this purpose we first need a close-knit team.
And this means that no processing and good pay. Everyone at Gravity Well will have their own voting right and creative freedom, because if all creative decisions are made solely by one person, then the work starts to get bored quickly, and the end result does not live up to expectations, “said Drew McCoy in his appeal.
Of course, no specific announcements from Gravity well will not follow now. Instead, the company has published a list of vacancies, consisting of a variety of positions. Now it remains only to wait for further news.
