It’s time for a PS4 update: Sony has released a major system update numbered 8.00

Company Sony released a new system update for Playstation 4, which started closed beta testing this summer. Update number 8.00 weighs 476.9 MB and already available for download for all console owners

Among the main innovations of the update is the expanded functionality of the Party and Messages applications, which now use the same group of players, the ability to mute all microphones through the quick menu, improved two-step authentication, as well as simpler and more flexible parental controls, where you can configure settings for communication and exchange of user materials.

After installing the update, PlayStation 4 users will no longer be able to create events and open private groups in the Community application, but access to the latter will be preserved.

Simultaneously with the release of the latest firmware, Sony also updated the app Remote playby adding official support to it Playstation 5Gamers will be able to test remote play of games on iOS, Android, Windows and Mac at the start of PS5… When streaming pictures from a new set-top box to a PC, you can enable HDR, but the maximum resolution will remain at the level of the PS4 Pro – 1080p.
