It’s not the Witcher – CD Projekt RED has unveiled the second AAA project, which is being created in parallel with Cyberpunk 2077

After yesterday’s news about transfer Cyberpunk 2077 guide CD Projekt RED also confirmed that the planned multiplayer component of the game will appear only after 2023. The Polish studio shared information about this at a press conference convened for investors, where issues related to the delay in the game were discussed.

“Given the expected release of Cyberpunk 2077 in September and taking into account the series of events that are expected after this, 2023 seems to be an unlikely release date for the Cyberpunk multiplayer,” said Michal Novakovsky, Member of the Management Board and Senior Vice President, Business Development, CD Projekt.

During the meeting, Novakovsky also clarified that the second AAA-project CD Projekt RED, the production of which was confirmed earlier, is the same network part of Cyberpunk 2077. Previously, fans had hopes that a secret development was hiding a new The witcherbut, apparently, at the moment the studio is focused only on Cyberpunk.

Talk that Cyberpunk 2077 would acquire some form of network component has been surfing the Internet for several years, but the situation finally became clear only in September, while the studio immediately emphasized that the multiplayer will appear after the game starts. It is known that online will offer a “reasonable” form of monetization.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in early fall, September 17th. The project is also announced for release on the Google Stadia cloud platform.
