Despite all the promises of the developers, from year to year in FIFA everything is decided by speed – especially in defense. ODDS portal explains why the basic version of Nelson Semedu’s card from Barcelona is so good.
General characteristics Semedu in FIFA 20:
- rating – 7/10;
- speed – 9.5 / 10;
- dribbling – 9/10;
- pass – 6.5 / 10;
- protection – 8.5 / 10.
In the Spanish League, the traditional problem with the extreme defenders. If in reality Dani Carvajal, Marcelo and Jordi Alba are a formidable weapon, then in FIFA they are weak: one loses its position, and the other does not keep up with the fast attackers of the opponent.
Because of this, fast and tenacious guys are valued, who can catch up, bother a little, waiting for the central defender or opornik to come to help. It is in this category that Nelson Semedu belongs. He is fast enough to catch almost any opponent, and enough chains to prevent him from entering the penalty box from the flank.
He simply has no problems with linking. For budget squads, a wonderful option appears on the flank in the form of Zhelson Martins, but for more expensive ones – Leo Messi. Any defender from the Spanish “Examples” will suit the center of defense – both Sergio Ramos and Rafael Varan. Even Diego Carlos looks very decent to start.
Even the simplest Semedu card with Shadow turns into a monster. He’s so good that you’re seriously considering spending 450 thousand on the Headliner version.
Influence
The characteristics of Semeda are not credible, but the game is different. Moreover, there are simply no alternatives for this price. Speed (92), physics (75), endurance (91) and dexterity (88) allow him to be the guy who, even if he doesn’t push the opponent away, somehow crawls through and selects the match. Plus, this player has an amazing ability to squeeze an opponent to the sideline and not foul.
Of the minuses, one can note the absence of a decent pass, which is important when leaving the attack. If Semeda decently passes to the bottom, then there are problems with casting on the runaway one time. You can, of course, give to the support zone and develop an attack from there, but time is wasted, and casting from the center to the flank is not known for its effectiveness.
Market value
The base card costs 3.5 thousand, and it is quite playable even with top-of-the-line players. It even makes it unnecessary to spend 450 thousand on the Headliner. If there is no problem with the right flank of the defense, then there is the TOTW version of Semedu, which lives on the left flank of the defense. Its cost is 90 thousand.
One way or another, Semedu is the solution to many problems. It is perfect until you can buy, say, Zambrottu or Zanetti.
Total
Quite an average card, which, probably, was every second player in FUT. There are no problems with the links, in defensive actions there is a variability that will seriously limit the movement of any opponent. This is the best decision at the start of the game, which can bring many benefits, given the presence of high-quality players from Portugal and the Spanish “Examples”.
