A significant number of new owners iPhone 12 mini have reported issues with the sensitivity of the lock screen. On the forum MacRumors the topic is discussed already on 22 pages, and in the thread Reddit responded by many users facing the same defect.
The issue manifests itself when swiping up from the bottom of the lock screen to unlock the device. She was also seen when pressing the flashlight or camera buttons on the same lock screen. The display does not always recognize a tap or swipe up to unlock. On other screens, the iPhone 12 mini works fine.
Some users speculate that the lack of response could be a conduction or grounding problem. The defect has been reported to go away on its own when the phone is connected to a charger or when you touch the metal frame of the iPhone 12 mini without a case.
However, there is no consensus yet on what is causing the problem and whether it is hardware or software related.
