As part of a conference for developers WWDC 2023 company Apple introduced a lot of new things. One of the announcements was the ability to use keyboards and mice for games on iPad, as well as expanded support for new types of controllers. Allegedly, all this will work through a framework designed for gamepads.
Unfortunately for gamers, the update does not mean that you can immediately connect the keyboard and mouse, and start playing your favorite game on the iPad. We’ll have to wait for the integration of support in each case.
It is also stated that developers will be able to disable or limit system gestures during the game, so as not to accidentally go to the desktop. Although there is no exact date yet, the company has not yet released the relevant updates. Therefore, months can elapse before the appearance of full support.
In addition, it is stated that in the service Apple arcade You can now play using the Elite Series 2 gamepad and Xbox Adaptive Controller.
