The first series of e-sports basketball games will be held with June 19 to June 21, 2023. Among the participants are the national teams of Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Cyprus, Indonesia, Italy, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, the Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland and Ukraine. Each team will consist of seven players: five on the field and two substitutes. Competitions will be held in a remote format in the game Nba 2K in Pro-AM mode. Allowed full customization of players, including the appearance, shape and design of the arena.

The whole series of competitions FIBA Esports Open 2020 will be broadcast from the new FIBA ​​Esports studio, which is located in Riga (Latvia), and will offer a daily four-hour show, during which up to six games will be shown.
