In the test suite database Sisoft appeared information about the new six-core processor Intel with Hyper-Threading, which can be used in single and dual socket configurations. The L2 cache per core will be 1.25 MB. For comparison, y Core i9-9900K had only 256 KB, and Core i9-10980XE this figure is 1 MB. On the other hand, Ice Lake’s mobile CPU has 512 KB of L2 cache.
It is assumed that this chip is built on a 10-nanometer process technology and belongs to the family Ice lake or Tiger lake. Also note that these are almost certainly server processors. Their frequency, judging by the data from the benchmark, is 3 GHz.
At the moment, it is not known when the new product will enter the market or at least be officially presented. The number of cores also raises a number of questions, because for servers six modules have long been considered the lower level.
One way or another, it remains to wait for new information.
