Intel is preparing a small modular stationary gaming PC

Intel announced that it is preparing a successor Hades Canyon NUC (or abbreviated NUC 8) This miniature computer came about as a result of adding AMD’s graphics design to the Intel processor. The new model is called Ghost Canyon NUC 9 Extreme and is designed to surpass NUC 8 on all fronts.

Intel wants to introduce Ghost Canyon at CES 2023 in Las Vegas, confirming an early leak about a modular gaming PC. According to rumors, the dimensions of the computer will be comparable to the game console, and the replacement of its components will be as easy as replacing the cartridges.

Ghost Canyon can install Intel Core i9-9980HK, Core i7-9750H and Core i5-9300H processors, as well as a 4 by 4 inch motherboard (10.16 x 10.16 centimeters). It is assumed that the dimensions of the modular computer will be 238 x 216 x 96 mm, so there will be enough space inside for full-fledged modern nine-inch video cards.

In addition to the PCIe X16 slot, Ghost Canyon will have one PCIe X4 slot, six USB ports, two Ethernet ports and support for DDR4 RAM up to 64 gigabytes.
