Producer Capcom Peter Fabiano said in a new interview that the team Resident Evil: Village considers the upcoming game to be the best survival horror to date.
In a conversation with Official PlayStation Magazine UK, a company representative also noted that when creating the Village, the developers were largely inspired by Resident evil 4which remains Capcom’s highest rated game on Metacritic to this day…
“You will notice that we got a lot of inspiration from Resident Evil 4. The team went to great lengths to create a truly authentic experience. Lots of surprises and a balanced mix of combat, exploring and solving mysteries await you.”
The story of Resident Evil: Village kicks off a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7, once again making Ethan Winters the main character. At the beginning of the game, he lives peacefully with his wife Mia, but their life together is destroyed by Chris Redfield. According to the trailers, he kills Mia, kidnaps Ethan and takes him to a creepy European village.
“Our developers thought about concept and planning [Village] from the very end of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. The team became very attached to Ethan as a character, so we knew we wanted to continue his story arc. This helped us achieve our goal. And because the Resident Evil teams are constantly exchanging information with each other, we really managed to create what we consider the best horror game to date. “
Earlier it became known that Resident Evil: Village will provide players with much more freedom in how to solve problems than it was in Resident Evil 7. The game will be larger and longer than the seventh part…
