In the role-playing action, Gothic, dark fantasy and horror are intertwined. An unnamed protagonist challenges the darkest fears and fantasies of the human psyche. Fighting in an unequal battle with terrible creatures, he wanders about the cruel world, collects weapons and improves his skills, trying to maintain sanity at the proper level.
As in the Soul series, the locations in Morbid: The Seven Acolytes are built in the style of metro-diving, that is, the game world will be open for study. It will also contain many caches and secrets that the hero has to find along the way.
Morbid: The Seven Acolytes is being developed for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam). The game will be released in 2023.
