Insider: FromSoftware is hit hard by pandemic, Elden Ring showcasing at E3 2023 unlikely

If you were hoping Bandai Namco and FromSoftware would finally show Elden ring during E3 2023 next month, then cool your expectations a little. The upcoming title will likely skip the June show, according to new information from a reputable insider.

During the last episode of the GamesBeat Decides podcast, the editor Jeff Grubb commented on the status of the game. He is almost certain that Elden Ring will not appear at the Xbox presentation, which means there is no chance of seeing it at E3 anywhere else, but the game may still be reminded in a different way, since the journalist heard that Bandai namco still retains this desire.

The reason why Elden Ring will once again miss a major event, Grubb named complications arising from COVID-19. In his words, the pandemic hit FromSoftware stronger than many other studios… Now the developers are focused on trying to bring the game to a release state, so they cannot afford to waste resources on creating a demo or a new trailer for E3. At the same time, Grubb emphasized that Elden Ring is not under threat of cancellation or something similar, and that one day the game will still be released.

Elden Ring was announced in 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Since then, nothing has been heard about the project, except for rumors.
