EA showed the first trailer Battlefield 2042… In the world of the shooter, the resources of the Earth have practically dried up, and Russia and the United States will begin a struggle for a few remnants – while there will be no official storyline campaign.
Classic modes like Capture and Breakthrough will return to the shooter, but absolutely new ones with unique natural disasters will appear – for example, All-out warfare for 128 players, Hazard Zone with a stake on work in the squadron and the third from DICE LA (it will be shown on July 22nd on EA Play).
At the start there will be 7 large and dynamic maps with unique events. On PS5, Xbox Series and PC up to 128 players will be offered to play, and on PS4 and Xbox One – up to 64 with reduced maps. Support will be available across seasons with two Battle Passes – paid and free.
Other innovations include operatives. These are unique characters with their own perks that will actually replace the class. There will be ten of them at the start, and four more will be introduced within a year after the release.
The game will be released on October 22, but buyers of the extended edition will be able to start playing a week earlier. In addition, on June 13 at the Microsoft conference, a trailer for the gameplay of the shooter will be shown.
The public alpha of Battlefield 2042 will take place in early July and will be available to random veterans of the series. Closer to release, there will be an open testing stage, early access to which will be given to pre-ordered game and EA Play subscribers.
By the way, subscribers of the latter will be able to play for about 10 hours on October 15.
