The authors of the project confirmed that between Spectrum and a whole new picture passed five years, and Agent 007 himself is quietly enjoying a well-deserved rest. But at the same time, according to the director of the picture, Carey Fukunage (“True Detective”), these years have not passed for a famous spy so easily.
According to the director, he was interested in trying to rediscover the hero. By the time the picture began, Bond feels almost like a wounded animal, trying to find his place in a world that has already managed to change without his direct participation.
The principles of espionage were also different, not only in relation to technology, but also to the methods of the participants themselves. This field of activity is now even darker and more dangerous, although, it would seem, much more. In many respects, the responsibility for this lies with the new villain who plays Rami Malek (“Mr. Robot”)
Fukunaga added that in the final part of the saga with Daniel Craig many conflicts that have not been closed before will be resolved, and the film itself will have a sense of completeness.
